David Garbo Jr. Finishes SIXTH in Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown

One of the youngest rookies to compete in late model stocks with the UARA Stars this year, David Garbo Jr. raced with the big guns at Richmond International Raceway Thursday, April 25 in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown. Several of NASCAR’s Sprint Cup elite drivers competed, including David Jr.’s team mate David Ragan. Ragan finished second in the charity event, with Garbo finishing 6th and being the first late model stock rookie over the finish line out of 36 drivers.

 

David Jr has competed in nine late model stock races this season in his No. 8 Garbo lobster,Fathead Racing Ford machine with results including TWO WINS, 3 top twos, 4 top fives and 6 top tens. He was named Rookie of the Race in two of the UARA Stars races and is scheduled to compete in the full UARA schedule this year along with other larger NASCAR Whelan All American Series late model stock venues, including the DOUBLE 125s at MOTOR MILE SPEEDWAY, this Saturday, May 18.
